NOTICE TO ALL RESIDENTS OF

QUALICUM WOODS – PHASE 2

During routine inspections it has been noted that some residents are not picking up after their pets. Dog waste is a public health hazard, takes the pleasure out of outdoor activities and pollutes the environment. In addition, failure to pick up after your dog is a by-law offence as well as a violation of the Corporations’ rules and regulations.

Help keep your community clean and improve public opinion of dogs and dog owners - make it a habit to pick up after your dog and dispose of it appropriately. Dog owners can place the waste in their regular garbage as long as it is properly wrapped in absorbent paper and placed in a sealed, leak proof bag and placed on the garbage pads no earlier than 6pm prior to the scheduled garage pick up day.

Dog waste is becoming a problem at Qualicum Woods, phase 2 and the Property Manager will be working with By-law Services staff to identify and charge those that do not comply with the regulations. Residents are encouraged to assist with the identification of those not complying with this regulation by calling their Property Manager or By-law services directly.
